Signature aromas of blueberry cobbler, jasmine, and pencil shavings introduce flavors of blackberry, black peppercorn, and mocha. Decanting can coax out Tahitian vanilla bean and baking spice characteristics. The ample tannins linger along with notes of boysenberry, black currant, and cardamom. Bold tannins and incredible structure make this the perfect pairing for brie en croûte or risotto with duck leg confit. Enjoy responsibly now or cellar for the next decade or more for additional development.

A picturesque carriage house overlooks a small section of the rolling hillside vineyards on the Rockpile Ranch. Originally planted in 1992 by Rod and Cathy Park, our Petit Verdot vineyard is usually the last section picked. The small, thick-skinned berries have been in traditional Bordeaux blends for centuries, but given the right conditions, this variety creates dark-colored, full-bodied wines with plenty of tannins and with tremendous aging potential along with herbaceous notes of violet and sage.
