The Northern edge of Sonoma County is home to the Rockpile AVA. This small AVA features the best of the cool air from the Sonoma Coast and the warm breezes that come up the Dry Creek Valley making it not too warm yet not too cool. This is complemented by the elevation above the fog level and the inversion layer created by the nearby Lake Sonoma. The Estate Pinot Noir vineyard was planted to the distinctive Calera clone, resulting in low yields that are rich in flavor. This is the inaugural release of our Pinot Noir grown on the Estate vineyard and first section of a 20-acre planting project started when Ken & Diane bought the Rockpile Ranch.
